Police want public’s help in finding missing 7-year-old boy


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are seeking the public’s help in tracing a seven-year-old boy, who has been missing from his home in Setapak since Saturday.

Police said the child, Hay Yi Jack (pix), who lives with his aged grandfather at the Air Panas flats, Setapak was last seen at 4.30pm on Saturday.

Sources said the man only lodged a police report today and police learnt that Hay was placed in his custody after the child’s parents went their separate ways.

It is also learnt police were facing difficulties in gathering information from Hay’s grandfather due to his failing memory.

Details of the boy were also placed under the National Urgent Response Alert (NurAlert) today.

Hay, who is about 80cm tall and weighs 25kg, has tanned skin and was last seen clad in white short pants and a T-shirt with cartoon imprints.
